DOING BUSINESS ON THE INTERNET IN THIS NEW FRAGMENTED GLOBAL ECONOMY

In case you've missed it, we now live in a "Global Economy" where the market-shares of a business is no longer limited to its local community. Add to this the introduction of Internet-based technologies, now even the smallest businesses are able to promote and sell his/her goods and services worldwide, without ever having to leave home or increase the size of their facilities. In light of these facts it is safe to say that, in this 21st century even small brick-n-mortar companies worldwide are recognizing the benefits that direct access to global markets have on the bottomline.

Unfortunately, however, because of the various currency valuation methods, and the policies and politics of particapating countries of late, the Global Economy has become fragmented, creating worldwide economic instability.  Regardless of these concerns, the promise of greater opportunities offered by the Global Economy remains the same. Enhanced by the world-wide web (WWW), the formula for success is as simple as A + B = C, as long as  everyone respects their role and the roles of others.  In essence, businesses (A) profit when they employ people who produce and sell their goods and services; employees (B) earn wages that afford them the ability to make purchases; and governments (C) earn tax-revenues from both.  There's really no room in this formula for "D" (special interest).  Without honoring this formula, the Global Economy will cease to function sufficiently to assure worldwide confidence.

In today's world of highspeed global interaction, people from every walk of life the world over are seeking answers to the same questions.

  1. What can / should I (citizens and businesses) do to survive these difficult times?
  2. What can be done to get back on track as quickly as possible?
  3. What does the future hold?
  4. How can Internet-based technology help me compete in this global economy?

NOW IS THE TIME TO "THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX"
